ECU HOSA is a collegiate chapter of the national Health Occupations Students of America.
Our HOSA Chapter was founded at East Carolina in 2007 by Mr. Allen Stephens. He attended Smoky Mountain High School, located in the western region of North Carolina, and served HOSA for a total of 8 years.
Allen has been both a former NC HOSA State Officer and as the Vice President for National HOSA Region III.
We appreciate Allen's dedication to ECU HOSA for making us the chapter we are today!

The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science technology education students, therefore, helping students to meet the needs of the health care community.
